Professional Manicure & Pedicure Tips

Times are hard. Our economy is not at it's best and it is becoming more and more important to save and be cautious of what we spend our money on. What does that mean for a girl who likes to keep her self well maintained? No more weekly trips to the nail salon? What is this world coming to? Well here is the solution. Get a free Sephora Professional Manicure/ Pedicure kit and use the following tips to do your up-keep at home. Still look good and have money in your pocket.

1. Removing old lacquer
2. File your nails while they’re dry. You’ll get a better shape if you file before soaking
3. Soften nails and cuticles in a bowl of warm water. Mix the warm water with cuticle oil, olive oil or body lotion. Soak for 10 minutes, dry, and apply cuticle cream or lotion and begin to gently push back your cuticles in a circular motion with an orangewood stick.
4. Wash away oil or lotion and dry the nails thoroughly.
5. Apply a basecoat to holds polish in place so it lasts longer.
6. Sweep on polish The way they do at salons, in three strokes, from base to tip.
7. Wait two minutes and apply another coat of polish on nails.
8. Wait another two minutes and finish with a topcoat
9. Touch up any polish mistakes After nails are dry working on wet nails guarantees smudging. Use a cotton swab and polish remover or try a pen made specific purposes. If you smudge, gently rub it out with a dab of polish remover. When dry, polish only affected area, then cover the entire nail topcoat.
